What to look for after a storm
General homeowner information for this demonstration. It is not a quote, an inspection, or a claim about Summit Ridge Roofing.
This article is general information. It does not describe insurance coverage, and it does not tell anyone how to file a claim.
After wind, hail, or a fallen limb, look from a safe place. Stay away from downed lines, broken glass, and limbs that are still hung up in a tree.
Conditions people often notice
- Shingles that are missing, cracked, or creased.
- Debris on the roof or in the gutter.
- A new stain on a ceiling.
- A downspout that has pulled away from the house.
If water is coming in, a clean container and a towel are a temporary way to manage the drip until someone who does this work can see it. This page does not describe emergency tarping as a do-it-yourself project.
